A common adaptation of the novel coronavirus has appeared in parts of Europe, North America and Asia, which is much more contagious but much less deadly. This information was given by a prominent infectious disease specialist in Singapore.

Paul Tambayah, a leading expert at the National University of Singapore and president-elect of the International Infectious Diseases Organization, said the adaptation of the coronavirus, known as D614G, had occurred in some parts of the world and significantly reduced infectious mortality. That is, the newly evolved virus is less lethal than the original coronavirus.

He told Reuters it was better to have a more contagious but less deadly virus. According to him, the more evolutionary a virus is, the less likely it is that it will become infected. In his words, ‘the nature of the virus is to infect. But the main purpose of the virus is not to kill the body in which he takes refuge.

In his words, ‘the nature of the virus is to infect. But the main purpose of the virus is not to kill the body in which he takes refuge. Scientists realized last February that the coronavirus had begun to evolve. According to the WHO, there is no evidence that the evolving virus is causing more serious diseases.

Last Sunday, Director General of the Malaysian Department of Health Nur Hisham Abdullah instructed the country to take precautionary measures against possible D614G infection. Earlier, the Department of Science, Technology and Research in Singapore reported the adaptive virus infection. Will the evolved coronavirus be eradicated with the newly discovered covid vaccine? According to Tambayah, the evolution of the virus has not changed much, so the covid vaccine will be able to control it.
