The trend of unprecedented cut-off marks continues.
100 per cent cut-off marks for admission in #DelhiUniversity undergraduate level is nothing new. But this time not one subject, I want 100 percent marks for admission in three subjects.
The first list, announced on Saturday, continues the trend of unprecedented #cut-off marks. Lady Sriram College wants 100 percent marks for admission in three subjects. General category students will have to get 100 percent marks for admission in Economics (BA Honors). 100 percent marks are required for admission in Political Science (BA Honors) and also in Psychology (BA Honors).
Earlier in 2015, 100 per cent marks were required for general category students for admission in computer science program at College of Vocational Studies and Indraprastha College for Women. The cut-off marks for the next four years were very high but did not reach 100 percent.
Although there is a debate on one hundred percent cut-marks, the demand for numbers will be much higher than this time, it was already clear. This time, more than 41,000 students got more than 95 per cent marks in CBSE Class XII examinations and more than 1.84 lakh students got more than 90 per cent marks.
Since then, the demand for numbers for admission in science has been very high. Lady Sriram College has the highest number of cut-off marks for science as well as arts. 99.75 percent of general category students are required for admission in Statistics (B.Sc Honors). Hindu College is not far behind. For admission in that college, you have to get 99.25 percent in statistics.
