Election ahead. Therefore, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is desperate to keep all government welfare projects running in the lockdown. She instructed on Tuesday so that there would be no delay in this regard. Mamata reviewed the progress of the Kanyashree and Rupashree projects with government officials at an administrative meeting in Navanne on the same day. She also said that if someone’s marriage is delayed, Rupashree’s application cannot be rejected in any way. Need to renew the application.
On the same day, Mamata said, money is stuck as many applications of Rupashree project are not being verified.
Even if the money is in the government house, it is not going to be distributed. In this situation, Mamata directed the district magistrates to immediately verify the submission of the Rupashree project and give a clearance to pay.
The bureaucrat in charge of the Rupashree project then informed the Chief Minister that the date of marriage has been changed in several applications in the Rupashree project. As a result, the applicants said that they do not need money now. As a result, the verification process is getting a bit late.
Hearing this, Mamata said, many are being forced to postpone marriage due to corona. The matter has to be looked at humanely. Marriage cannot be cancelled, it needs to be renewed. The officer-in-charge assured that the work on the project would be completed immediately on the instructions of the Chief Minister.
