Covid-19 Vaccine : No Injection, Corona Vaccine now with nasal spray, Production Starts by Serum

In that case Corona vaccine will be sprayed on the nose. There is no risk of injection.

At present, trials of three coronavirus ‘vaccine candidates’ are underway in India. But there is no intranasal vaccine in that list (the vaccine that is given through the nose, in this case the vaccine is sprayed through the nose. Thus, the vaccine is given by injection). However, on Sunday, Union Health Minister Harshvardhan said the Intramural Vaccine Candidate was being developed by the Serum Institute of India (SII).

In the sixth edition of ‘Sunday News’, the Health Minister said,’ Flumist nasal spray is a kind of vaccine. Which is sprayed on the nose to build resistance against influenza. This is not the Covid-19 vaccine. There is currently no such intranasal vaccine in India. Whose trial is ongoing. However, the Serum Institute (of India) has started production of Codagenix CDX 005. Which is an intranasal live attenuated vaccine candidate for Sars-Cov-2.

Harshvardhan also spoke about the progress of Codegenics CDX005. “Pre-clinical trials on animals have already been completed and the first phase of codogenics testing in humans is expected to begin in Britain by the end of 2020,” he said. Later, Seram is planning to conduct a clinical trial of that vaccine candidate in India as well.

At the same time, the Union Health Minister said that India Biotech has signed an agreement with the Washington University School of Medicine. Under the agreement, the Indian company will conduct a trial to develop and market the corona intranasal vaccine. He said, ‘The first phase of the trial will be held in the vaccine and related medical departments of St. Louis University in the United States. If approved, India Biotech will conduct the next phase of clinical trials in India as well
