Sushant started suffering from depression after cancellation of Yash Raj Films’ ‘Pani’, says Shekhar Kapoor

Mumbai: About a month has passed since the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. However, the police are confused about whether Sushant was forced to commit suicide or not. An investigation is underway. Investigators have questioned about 30 people. This time, Director Shekhar Kapoor appeared in the question and answer session of the Mumbai Police investigators.

Shekhar was called on June 29. However, he could not appear in person as he was not in Mumbai. He sent his statement to the police via e-mail.

There, he said that Sushant was supposed to play the lead role in the movie ‘Pani’, produced by Yash Raj Films and directed by him. But due to Sushant’s disagreement with the production company, the movie was stopped. Then Sushant started suffering from depression.

Sushant was supposed to play the role of Gora in the movie ‘Pani’. The day after the actor’s death, Shekhar wrote on Twitter, ‘I know what pain you were going through. I know people who have disappointed you so badly. So that you wanted to put your head on my shoulder and cry. It would be nice if I could be by your side for the last six months. If only you could contact me once. You suffered the consequences of their actions. Not your own karma.’
