With the intervention of Vice-Chancellor Bidyut Chakraborty, the work of digging holes with JCB was started to pave the fair ground again.
The JCB also returned on Monday morning. The angry locals brought it. They smashed the newly made panchil with JCB machine. The door is pushed and the lock is broken. Police reached the spot and brought the situation under control. However, no one from the Visva-Bharati authorities was seen at the spot on that day. After a long case, the environment court has ordered to surround the Poush Mela ground. According to Visva-Bharati authorities, the work of the wall was to be completed within 27 days.
And in order to do it properly, CCTV cameras are also installed in the streets. But in today’s incident, the work of building wall was hampered again.
