The clinical trial of the second phase of the covid vaccine made by the Zydus Cadila organization started on Thursday. The vaccine company announced this on Wednesday.
A statement from the agency said, “The plasmid DNA vaccine developed by the company to prevent Covid-19 has been shown to be safe in the first phase of clinical trials. The company is going to start the second phase of clinical trial from August 6.
The vaccine, which was administered to healthy volunteers in a trial on July 15, has been shown to be tolerable.
The vaccine has been shown to be safe, resistant to disease and quite tolerable, even if the liquid has been applied to animals before. The vaccine has been able to destroy a large number of germs in animals. On July 2, Zydus Cadila received approval from the Drug Controller General to test the vaccine in humans.
The Covid vaccine will be administered to a total of 1,000 volunteers in a second phase clinical trial. “The Data Safety Monitoring Board conducts the first seven days of safety testing in the first phase of clinical trials after the vaccine is administered, the main function of which is to monitor the safety aspects of clinical trials,” the agency said.
It is known that after entering the human body, this plasmid DNA is converted into a viral protein and builds a strong immune system with the help of the body’s needless immune system. Its loudness makes protection from disease and disinfection possible.
The covid vaccine has been developed by Zydus Cadila’s own laboratory in Ahmedabad.
