This Grand Slam was not held this year.

For the first time in the history of the competition, Wimbledon could not be held this year due to Corona. The British government did not allow the tournament to be held without spectators. The organizers hope that the Wimbledon will be allowed to be held in the stadium without spectators in 2021 as well. For the first time since World War II, the Grand Slam tournament was cancelled in 2020 due to the relevant corona.

The relevant US Open has been held in a spectator-free stadium this year. Three months back, the French Open was successfully held in the presence of 1000 supporters. In 2021, the All England Club will decide the situation at Wimbledon. The 134th edition of Wimbledon is scheduled to take place from June 28 to July 11, 2021.

Chief executive Sally Bolton said: “Holding this Grand Slam in 2021 is our number one goal. In its implementation we have made various plans. The biggest objective is to ensure the health of the guests, staff and players. We are working closely with the government and the health department.
